Senior Database/ETL Developer
Senior Technical Developers will work closely with clients and provide technical consulting services and oversight for specific projects that include ETL, data integration, custom reports development, Electronic Data Capture (EDC) solutions, technical project management, user specifications development, clinical software implementations and integrations. Senior Technical Developers will work with project teams to ensure that all client work has met or exceeded client expectations.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform complex technical activities such as ETL, data mapping and integration, report development and other RDBMS activities as needed
- Work on consulting efforts related to Clinical Systems Data and Services
- Provide programming support, documentation and testing for Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Solutions Medidata RAVE platform with Data Extractions, Integrations and Complex Configurations
- Perform technical project management and strategic consulting activities ensuring high degree of quality and efficiency within and across projects
- Collaborate with technical resources to deliver client services
- Mentor and support technical developers
- Ensure compliance with eClinical and industry quality standards, guidelines and procedures
Education/Language:
Basic Science/Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, life sciences or equivalent Excellent knowledge of English
Professional Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in SQL and related skills (Transact-SQL, PL/SQL…etc) with experience in developing advanced queries, stored procedures, and views – SQL Server 2008 is preferred but Oracle equivalent experience is acceptable
- Deep understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling and mapping, ETL and complex data structures
- Ability to analyze customer requirements and implement best fit solutions using available technologies
- Exceptional communication, work ethics and problem solving skills
- Experience with EDC and Clinical Data Management Systems: Medidata Rave (preferred), Phase Forward InForm, or Oracle Clinical
- Experience with Data Reporting Tools: Business Objects, JReview, Crystal Reports or similar tools
- Experience with technical writing including User/Functional Requirements
- Detail oriented, ability to multitask with strong prioritization, planning and organization skills
- Knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, clinical trial methodology and clinical domains, and industry standards CDISC and SDTM
- Technical Project Management experience is a plus
