Principal Statistical Programmer

Work closely with clients and provide high level consulting services and oversight for specific projects that may include project management, assessing new technologies, process improvements, system validation, SOP development, complex statistical programming, clinical software implementations and integrations. Manage delivery resources and assure that all client work has met or exceeded client expectations and predetermined profitability levels. Work with company staff including representatives of eClinical, IT, Leadership Team, HR, Finance/Accounting/Purchasing, Legal, Recruiting, Marketing and Sales and external clients and vendors. Function as a technical lead to lead consulting efforts related to clinical SAS programming projects. Provide programming support for clinical SAS programming for protocol specific reporting, adhoc and integrated summaries reporting, and for SAS programming for data management. Lead and contribute to internal and client specific programming process and system development projects in different operation modes such as consulting or functional services provider mode. Perform project management, including project budgets, and strategic consulting activities ensuring high degree of quality and efficiency within and across projects. Manage technical resources to deliver client services. Provide training services and programs. Work with eClinical Solutions training services and serve as a subject matter expertise on clinical reporting and SAS programming processes. Ensure compliance with eClinical and industry quality standards, guidelines and procedures. Interact with eClinical Leadership Team and Management Team on delivering eClinical goals. Work closely with Recruiting and Sales Teams on staffing and project delivery services. Contribute to ensure reliable and robust infrastructure to support growth and services. Other duties as assigned.

Requires: Masters + 1 year experience that must include familiarity with industry wide standards. SAS Programmer certification required. Knowledge of various modules of SAS including but not limited to SAS/STAT, SAS/Graph. Understanding & experience with SAS/Connect, SAS/Access. Experience working with various versions of SAS including SAS-8.2, & SAS-9. Experience of working with phase-I, II, III, IV protocols, & with integrated summaries reporting. Experience managing a team of programmers for clinical SAS programming projects. Experience with Software Development Lifecycle & User Requirements methodologies. Solid understanding of application design & development processes. Knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11 & clinical trial methodologies & systems. Technical project management experience & team leadership skills including scope management, work planning & work delegation. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications. O/S: Windows 2000, XP, Unix. Databases: Oracle, MS-Access.
